Professor Andre has kicked off 2024s Competition Season with GOLD

The 2024 year of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions is in full swing and here at Carlson Gracie Tucson we’re very excited and proud to have our own 3rd Degree Black Belt Professor, Andre Freire, who started off the year for us at the Miami IBJJF Open and Los Angeles IBJJF Open. Not only does Professor Andre Freire teach and lead our school along with a stellar group of coaches, but he also shows our students that you’re never too old to compete and that choosing to compete builds character and discipline and helps to step up your Jiu Jitsu game. Win or lose. You are always learning and growing. Of course, winning the gold is always preferable and that’s what Professor Andre did.

Andre Freire showcased his mastery at the 2024 Miami IBJJF Open and Los Angeles IBJJF Open, securing impressive victories in multiple divisions In Miami. Freire displayed impeccable technique and resilience, claiming gold medals in his weight class and the bronze medal in the absolute division, dominating his opponents with precision and skill.

His stellar performance continued in Los Angeles, where he once again emerged triumphant, demonstrating his prowess on the mats, and solidifying his status as a formidable force in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world. Freire’s consistent success at these prestigious events underscores his dedication and talent, marking him as a standout competitor in the sport.

Again, we’re so pleased to have such a great athlete and instructor running our school here at Carlson Gracie Tucson!
